About me.
My name is Merandie de Jager I'm 23-years-old, and I recently got my BA degree in 3D Animation and Screenwriting with a focus skill in Cinematography. Through the use of both 3D and screenwriting, my passion is to create stories and bring them to life.
I use my feelings and experiences to develop my characters and stories, shaping them in memorable ways. I take pride in my creations and I am always willing to explore and try something new.

While I was still studying, I was a part-time intern at Luma Animation Studios for almost seven months and assisted different teams with a variety of projects. Examples of the projects I worked on were the 3D modelling for adverts such as Jotun and Dairy Fresh. I also helped with some of the CGI clean-up for the film, Love on Safari (2018) and the film, Frank, and Fearless (2018).

For two week, I worked alongside the on-set Visual Effects Supervisor as an intern. I was in charge of gathering data for the visual effects, information on the lighting, sound and camera angle, and taking visual references. The data was used in developing the CGI in post-production.
